Sunset Hike!!

Hey y’all it’s Hannah!! Today I’m going to share about a beautiful sunset hike we did on Sunday, March 8th!! Last week a friend of ours named Chris told us about a secret hike up to a lookout point where you could watch the sunset and see eight different beaches! That evening everyone put on their hiking boots and we drove Rossi to the start of the hike. What we didn’t know was how steep this hike was!! I’m not even joking when I tell you it was STRAIGHT up a mountain for over a mile. After lots of sweat and encouragement, everyone made it to the top. We were met with an incredible sunset and a view that was breathtaking! We could see eight different beaches from being so high up, and could name most of them but also saw a few new ones. Unfortunately there were also some vicious bees that our friend Lakota got stung by, but other than that incident everything was peaceful. We stayed up at the lookout for a while enjoying God’s beauty and headed back down when it started getting dark. Going down was definitely easier and quicker than going up! On the way back to the car we saw a snake (couldn’t tell what kind in the dark), some bats, and also got to see all the house and town lights because we were up so high! Eventually we all made it down and enjoyed a big dinner back at our house.
