Greetings from Paradice!!
Maddie here informing you on my adventures! Since arriving in sunny Punta Islita, I have been volunteering at a wild macaw breed center. I help out on weekdays for a few hours in the afternoon. My job while volunteering is to help clean the aviaries and feed some of the birds. At the breeding center we have both Scarlett and great green birds. With both species combined we have over 50 birds in our care. I am absolutely loving helping out here it has been a fun experience getting to help take care of these birds! My typical day volunteering starts with a mile walk to the center before gathering old food and water bowls, sweeping the aviaries, and then feeding the birds. Depending on what aviary I’m helping out in this can take anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours. Even though it’s not always the most peaceful or clean job I’m having so much fun!

Will update again soon!
